You were sitting in front of me, with your legs crossed and fingers resting on my bare legs. The air was warm, with subtle hints of you and subtle hints of me. We were listening to your favourite collection of 90s music. Despite my unfamiliarity to them, I remember being completely wrapped up in the atmosphere. There was something euphoric and freeing about having nothing but our underwear on. It was very liberating. Everything was left in the open air; our imperfections, anxieties, and dreams were all out on display. And I swear at that very moment magic happened. Over and over you told me you love me. You caressed my naked back with your fingers and repeated the words: I love you. With no hesitation, every part of me felt it too. Every part of me screamed the words I love you.
You just need to know where to look.
I still believe that if you take the time to look closely, you’re always going to find beauty.

21. you were in mid-sentence when we first heard the song. we were chasing the sunset, driving back to a place we both call home. we both stopped to listen to its melody. the words “you belong with me” resonated in our hearts. it was like being in a dream. everything at that moment paused and blended into the background. what was left was just the image of you and me. I remember it all perfectly. and it was beautiful. every single thing about it was so god damn beautiful.
